Cultural Isolation
Have you ever wondered what may be going on inside someone else's mind? We all have our own hidden thoughts, secrets. Have we conformed to a society where we live in a social situation where we are too quick to judge someone upon their appearance? Fiona Gardner, emerging choreographer, produces for the Adelaide Fringe 2013 Cultural Isolation. Through clever design and research, Cultural Isolation guides the audience through site specific locations with in the city of Adelaide; fostering a unique creative flair, utilising a diverse group of local artistic talent. Connections with contemporary dance and physical theater; this work brings alive external spaces and deep reflection of human psychology. In these specific locations we generate social scenarios exploring fantasy, love, judgement, insecurities and freedom. The performers bring a comical, empathetic alternative perception to the development of personal internal dialogues with in certain social situations.
