Freefall is an exciting exploration of bizarre and everyday fears, human quirks and truths. Gravity & Other Myths use their extensive skills in circus and physical theatre to showcase the inner workings of seven young characters as they learn to engage with their fears. “Time and time again we were enthralled…Impressive, clever and very entertaining” - Arts Hub Freefall merges traditional circus skills including hula hoop, juggling, adagio, hoop diving and acrobatic pitching with physical theatre, contemporary movement and spoken word. Piles of cardboard boxes and a rough cardboard floor dress the stage while the artists swing raw hanging incandescent bulbs which are integrated into the physicality of the show to create an engaging and atmospheric performance space. Not only does the show exhibit high-level circus skills the artist also demonstrate the tangible energy a group that has been working together for a long time can display, finding those moments audiences can relate personally to.
