When the word Bogan was finally recognised in the latest MacWorrie Dictionary, Matt Byrne decided to explore the bogan in all of us. The result is a fast-paced comedy featuring the Wingnut Family of suburban Bogan-Brompton. Errol and Cheryl and their kids Sharlene and G.T. have survived on Government handouts for a generation but their way of life is now threatened by the dreaded urban renewal of their rundown suburb. In the tradition of Matt Byrne's previous Fringe shows, four versatile actors play an array of characters that inhabit Bogan-Brompton. Brendan Cooney, Kim York, Belinda Knott and Matt Byrne switch comic characters in the blink of an eye as the Wingnuts fight alleged progress the only way they know how: sneakily!
