Matte Rochford is a human being. A videotape is a videotape. Together these two dynamic individuals take to the stage in a dialogue where the videotape explore its humanity and Matte explores his videotapeness. Watch and despair at the deteriorating tragedy of both human and tape. Matte Rochford has a history of performing with unlikely collaborators. His 2010 Sydney Fringe performance featured 100 clock radios which he conducted in The Clock Radio Symphony Orchestra. In Videotape and Me, Matte draws on his installation experience and performance expertise to bring to you a fascinating exploration into the world of videotape, specifically the VHS tapes which are now considered obsolete.
