From this dislocation it has rendered me both phyiscally and spiritually into a state of isolation, insecurity, vulnerability and alertness as l acknowledge and adapt to my new exitence. It is the acknowledment and adaptations that occur in my personal life that harvest the substance of my autobiographical narrative. The self portraits provide solitude and escapism as l document a concatenation of memories paying particular attention to motherhood and my interpersonal relationships. Capturing the psyche o these events is further explored by the impact of my nomadic lifestyle as l endure the dispalcement of fifteen years living in Hong Kong. The content of the self-portraits indulges in dualities of triumphs and tribulations and East meets West to procure a theme, being a passionate and deeply felt autobiographical narrative of My Journey of Life.
