In 2012 Nic Brown was commissioned by ArtsSA Public Art and Design Fund, ArtsSA Independent Makers and Presenters and Adelaide City Council Arts and Living Culture Program for her work in the multi-venue SALA exhibition 'conversations in ellipsis', curated by Lisa Harms. She won a place in Museum Interventions 2011 and was the recipient of 2011 Saint Ignatius Emerging Artist Prize; SALife Emerging Artist Prize, 2010 SALA Festival; 2009 Kidman Art Prize (watercolour) and Adelaide Central School of Art Scholarship, 2007. Nic has participated in exhibitions at SASA Gallery, UniSA; Palm House, Australian Forest and Francis Arbour, Adelaide Botanic Garden; Format; FELTspace Pavilion, Next Wave Festival; SALA Moving Image, Queens Theatre; A Room of Her Own; Light Square Gallery, ACArts and Adelaide Central School of Art Studio and Central Galleries. Nic is an emerging artist based in Adelaide, South Australia and works out of Fontanelle Studios.
