The social and cultural youth revolution of the 1960s produced an Explosion of fabulous Blues, R&B, and Soul music, along with new Dancing styles for irreverent and rebellious young people to engage with the new music, each other, and to flaunt their new fashion freedom. The Swinging Sixties is a show which brings together this fabulous music and the spectacular dancing of this exciting period. The music is passionately performed by Adelaide veterans " The Bluescasters ", a band that has specialised in this style of music for many years,( one group member actually played in bands in England in the 60s. Just don't remind him how old he is....) And to recreate the wild "Jive " dancing style of the 60s, two young couples from Thid Foot Dance Academy will perform spectacular West Coast Swing dance routines, dressed in period costume. The Show will be a feast of Sights and Sounds! ( Plus of course there is a feast of food available at each venue as well ). So treat yourself to a journey back in time. Sit back and enjoy yourself, or better still Kick up you heels and join in!
