Following two consecutive sell-out seasons at The Adelaide Fringe, The Deer Johns are back with their unique style of light-hearted, musical storytelling in "The Deer Johns are Growing Up". The show is based around a young boy, Jonathan, and his adventures growing up in suburban Adelaide in the 1970s. The comical story is cleverly crafted to weave through a medley of iconic songs from the era, all played by the talented three piece band on a vast array of musical instruments. With plenty of laughs and stage antics along the way, Andrew O’Callaghan, Jesse Cotton and Chris Marshall have produced a show which represents the pure essence of The Fringe, crossing enough genre boundaries to appeal to any festival goer. So come for the music, come for the comedy, or come for the nostalgia. Whatever the reason, be prepared for an hour's worth of pure entertainment.
