Is it really safe to dream? At what point does a dream become a delusion? Lifelong dreamer Megan Doherty is learning to compromise between high expectations and happiness, and finding contentment in the most unusual of places. A dirty, shouty cabaret to prove growing-up is over-rated. Megan Doherty last year completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre at the University of Ballarat Arts Academy. Over the last ten years, she has performed with local companies such as The Gilbert & Sullivan Society, the Therry Dramatic Society, and the Adelaide Repertory Theatre, to name a few. Since returning to Adelaide in December 2011, Megan has undertaken the Cabaret Confessional Cabaret Summer School and performed in its subsequent Out of the Square tour, and joined the ensemble cast for Channel 44's upcoming sketch show 'A Laughing Matter', while also working her 'day jobs' as a drama and singing teacher. 'The Girl Who Won't Grow Up' is her first full-length cabaret.
