At the time he was virtually unknown outside of W.A and the album's release, coupled with the explosion of the Australian roots scene launched him onto the national touring circuit alongside fellow West Oz mates John Butler and The Waifs. At every live show Thompson proves he’s continuing a proud Australian singer-songwriter tradition, following in the footsteps of our songwriting greats like Paul Kelly, Mick Thomas and Tim Rogers.
