The Hushes return to the Wheatsheaf Hotel for the 2013 Adelaide Fringe Festival to exclusively release their second studio album 'Sunlight and Fire'. Packed with songs about love, crime and doin' time, vampires, preacher men, hell and high-water; this hearty foursome will traverse the genres of blues and folk, gypsy and gospel, alt country and Appalachian bluegrass in a cracking 90 minute show. Featuring the award winning blues maestro Cal Williams Jr, virtuosic bassist Kory Horwood, sultry chanteuse Emily Davis and mighty fine banjo of Ben Roberts, The Hushes reinterpret traditional standards, presenting their finest songbook of collaborative original works in their latest release. After Launching their debut album, 'Cold River Blues' as an experimental project for the 2012 Fringe, The Hushes have gone from strength to strength, playing packed houses, performing at festivals and receiving national airplay. Taking nominations in the Derringers SA Blues Awards for Best Guitarist, Bassist and Female Vocalist, The Hushes are set to take this year's Fringe by storm with their trademark onstage sass and growl. '…impressive four part harmonies, foot-stomping, clapping, and engaging between-song banter make up a class act that provides a great night's entertainment.' Final Word: Smokin'.. Adrian Miller, Rip It Up
