The true love story between Maria Rainer and Captain Von Trapp set to beautiful music and 16 piece orchestra. The Sound Of Music made famous by Julie Andrews who played Maria in the movie. The story opens in 1939 , where Maria Rainer, is a postulant Nun in Nonnberg, Austria. She finds it difficult in the Abbey and finds escape in the countryside she grew up in. Mother Abbess can see she is not really suited to the Abbey life and sends her out into the world. Maria is sent to Captain Von Trapps villa to be governess to his seven children. We are introduced to his friends Uncle Max and Baroness Schraeder. During her time there she becomes very close to the children and falls in love with the Captain. Meanwhile Rolf, the mail boy, who has Nazi loyalties, is romancing Leisel who is the Captain's eldest daughter. Torn between her vows to become a nun and Captain Von Trapp's love, she marries the Captain. The Nazis invade austria and the family must fleetheir beloved country. A beautiful Show great tunes and setting is cabaret so come along sit back and relax and be entertained.
