After a lengthy history of printing her anime and manga inspired artings onto shirts and stapled together bits of paper, Tsunami Hee Ja has finally redirected some of her addled art mojo to canvas. Fringe 2013 sees her exhibiting her painterly experiments for the very first time, in Adelaide's own otaku retail hotspot, Shin Tokyo. Beautiful, fragile, potentially poisonous, utterly alien, yet completely commonplace - from first flutterings to each ensuing itch, sting and bite, Tsunami attempts to capture the nature of love through the unlikely interactions of human and insect.
