Guy Detot has worked with some of the best modern dance theatre companies and choreographers in the world, including Pina Bausch. As well as directing the Fringe Opening Night Parade, Guy works as a freelance director, choreographer and dancer. Dance Discovering will introduce workshop participants to movement composition by taking normal everyday movements and extending them to dance and choreography. The workshops show that everyone can dance and develop their own movement style. Dance Discovering aims to encourage the audience to play an active role in the Fringe rather than just sitting and watching. The last session will be a short performance of the work developed through the week.
