This dark thriller is something a little different from Acorn Productions' previous presentations of evocative events such as 'The Vagina Monologues' and 'Write Here, Write Now', which sought out and encouraged new writers and performers. Acorn Productions' thriller 'My One and Only' stars Adelaide actress Tamara Bennetts (Death by Chocolate, The Vagina Monologues), and revolves around a suspicious series of phone calls leading up to a hair-raising climax of a woman caught up in obsessive love as both victim and perpetrator. What happens when we get to know our stalkers? 'My One and Only' is all about that feeling you get when you don't know who's on the other end of the phone, and what answering that foreboding ring could mean. Originally written as a radio play for BBC Radio 4 by UK playwright Dawn King ('Foxfinder', 'The Karman Line'), 'My One and Only' has been adapted for the stage by internationally famed writer Dominic Allen (Belt Up Theatre's 'Outland' and 'Treasure Island'). Presented with The Bakehouse Theatre this show is an experience not to be missed, featuring a blend of local and international talent that sets this chilling ride apart from the rest.
